Duplicate tools and datatypes

Hi !

Seeing that certain tools and datatypes are duplicated on usegalaxy.eu

Tools (non-exhaustive list, seen in toolpanel)

  • Online data fetching (get_online_data)

Duplicate datatypes (non-exhaustive list, seen in data upload type selection):

  • blastcml
  • consensusxml
  • cps
  • deeptools_compute_matrix_archive (multiple duplicates)
  • deeptools_coverage_matrix (multiple duplicates)
  • eden_model
  • idpdb
  • pdb

All types and tools function but the duplication is confusing.

and in some cases tools are not exact duplicates example see Support Vector Machines. One contains all tool versions, the duplicate is a specific version.

Hi Chris,
thanks for compiling the list! Deduplicating the tools bar is on our agenda of things to do after GCC (several people raised this issue during the conference). I’ll keep you updated on our progress,

the duplicate deeptools are also happening on usegalaxy.org

  • deeptools_coverage_matrix (multiple duplicates)

True. We’ll be updating the usegalaxy.org tool panel as well. Will write back once done.
