# Fastq interlacer: job runtime delays

I have problems with FastQ interlacer,
this work is taking too long to be completed

Please see the advice in this prior Q&A. It would apply for most public Galaxy servers, not just [https://usegalaxy.org](https://usegalaxy.org).

yeah I am facing the issue of delay in running job after executing it. 🙁

This advice applies when working at any public Galaxy server:
If the dataset is “gray” in color, that means it is in the queue. Allow the job to stay queued and it will process as resources become available. Avoid deleting and rerunning as that will extend wait time (rerun/new jobs are added back at the end of the queue).
