# GalaxyEurope storage not refreshing

Hi @bgood07

Purged data can sometimes take up to a day to clear. More at #storage-dashboard

You can go into the User → Preferences → Storage Dashboard view to both review what the status is and to nudge the process to go a bit quicker by using the **Refresh** function.

A dataset could have many copies in your account. Deleting all copies is how to reduce quota. This topic from last week has the details for reviewing closer. → [Data not purging - #2 by jennaj](https://help.galaxyproject.org/t/data-not-purging/15966/2)

If none of this advice explains what is going on yet – do you want to explain a bit more? How much data, when was it purged, and which storage space were these located in? Server defaults or did you make a choice for one of the others? You can share screenshots if you want to.
