# GTDB-Tk Classify genomes - missing database

Dear Team,
I like to use the tool, but it requires a database. While ofher have asked about this (and there was some solution), currently no database is available.
The option says the following:
\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*
Please provide a value for this option.
**GTDB-Tk database \* required**
No options available.
This version of GTDB-Tk requires GTDB version 226. Please contact your service administrator if this version is not available to select.
\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*

Dear Jennaj, while this works, it uses database v220 from 2024. The newest database is v226. Since classification moves fast in science, I assume many would be happy to have a newer database version available. Best, Cycle
