# How to create karyotype for the circos plot

How to create karyotype for the circos? Are there any tools to make karyotype file in [galaxy.org](http://galaxy.org)? How I find chromosome length/position in whole genome and Is there any tool for this??

You make these yourself. See the format examples on that tool’s form, then click out into the tutorials for example files you can load into your history to examine closer.

There are no dedicated tools for this but Galaxy has a huge number of text manipulation tools. If those are not enough, or you are used to doing this in different ways, you can enter into Interactive Environments to access a nearly unlimited number of even more tools.

There a few ways to do this. The most directly way, for which there is a dedicated Galaxy tool, is → **Compute sequence length**.
