Hi,

is it possible to set files from libraries as input dataset of a workflow, I mean in the workflow editor, as fixed parameter?

There is an open ticket for this issue, so others have been thinking about this too! → [Select datasets from other histories with data selection dialog · Issue #13106 · galaxyproject/galaxy · GitHub](https://github.com/galaxyproject/galaxy/issues/13106) (includes Libraries in the comments)

Current strategies include functions such as the “deferred downloads from remote URLs”. That could be combined with with the [ZipExplorer](https://docs.galaxyproject.org/en/master/releases/25.0_announce_user.html#add-zip-explorer-to-import-individual-files-from-local-or-remote-zip-archives), Rule Based Upload, Text or Directory input logic and instructions for where to where/how source the content in the workflow README.

Yes, it is a bit funny, the other ticket was closed, and links back to this one! The people commenting on it already are our lead developers, so this is definitely still a wish list item and not forgotten. It is just a bit complicated to solve. 🙂
