# Source of built in reference genomes

Dear Galaxy Admins and Users,

I would like to know the source of the Built-in genomes which can be found within the [usegalaxy.eu](http://usegalaxy.eu) website tools, i.e. RNA star.

Is there a link / website /help-page that contains the version / source / info of these built-in genomes?  
Are they from Gencode / Ensembl / UCSC, etc?  
Which release?

My apologies if my question is redundant, but I could not find these info.

Hi @Akos

The genome’s assembly and build are usually in the full assembly name: what you see when using the pencil icon’s listing, or the Upload tool’s listing for “database”.

If there is a specific genome where you cannot find the original source, please ask. Thanks!
