I found a website called tavaxy which claims that it’s platform can convert taverna workflows to galaxy but all the post and the website are pretty old(from 2011 and 2012) and I couldn’t find a way to open the platform.
any updates on this?
does Taverna to galaxy is possible? and how would that work?
I haven’t used Tavaxy, but the format of Galaxy workflows is backwards compatible, so if Tavaxy can convert taverna workflows into Galaxy workflows it should work. Hello - Tavaxy (http://www.tavaxy.org/) was developed by Moustafa Ghanem when he was at the Center for Informatics Sciences, Nile University, Giza, Egypt, in around 2011-12. In 2013 the work (and the dept) was disrupted by political events in Egypt. In 2014 Moustafa tragically died and AFAIK work ceased.
The Taverna team are concentrating their efforts on the The Common Workflow Language as an interoperability platform for workflow systems. Galaxy is part of that initiative. http://www.commonwl.org
