Why do you contribute to Galaxy? A 15-minute survey

Hi All,

We’ve been invited to include Galaxy in a research project about why community members start contributing to a scientific community/initiative and what helps and hinders continuing contribution. A team of four scientific community managers (including Toby Hodges, EMBL Bio-IT) are surveying a range of scientific communities as part of the CSCCE Community Engagement Fellows Program (CEFP2019).

We encourage you to take part as contributor to Galaxy. (“Contributed to discussions between community members” is the first type of contribution listed. :- )

Please take the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CommunityContributors2019.

This survey should take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete; the link will remain open until September 30.

Please be aware that full response data for Galaxy will be shared back with the Galaxy Outreach team, excluding any name and email details you submit. More information about the survey is available here, including contact details for further information about the survey.

If you know of any other people who take part in scientific community programs and you think would be interested to take this survey, please forward them the link and information, or tell the survey team (see their info in the doc linked above).

Thanks,

Dave C

Hi All,

Just a reminder to think about telling the nice folks at AAAS about what motivates you to contribute to the Galaxy communities.

Thanks,
