I tried to run predict variant effects with VEP and there are no cache file available for selection, even after switching to any +galaxy0 version. I tried to switch to the other +galaxy1 versions and it state the error: “ERROR: Can’t detect input format”, despite my input is a .vcf file
Have you tried the “Any cache file” option?
The default cache with matching version prevents you from version mismatches, but requires your vcf to have its Database/Build set (via upstream tools or through the pencil icon on the dataset; once set, will show up under “format” on the expanded dataset).
Thank you a lot. I switched to ‘Any VEP cache file’ instead of the default ‘VEP cache with matching version’ and it finally works.
