RepeatExplorer FTP upload issue

Hi,

I was trying to upload data to my RepeatExplorer on galaxy and I run in this error message:

directory (/mnt/galaxy-re/uploads/karol_krak@repeatexplorer-elixir.cerit-sc.cz/) is a symlink to a location not on the allowlist

If I read it correctly it means my upload folder is no longer among the safe directories listed for galaxy. Is there any chance to get this fixed or is there another way how to upload the data to RE via ftp?

Many thanks,

Karol

Usually this needs to be addressed by the RepeatExplorer/Galaxy admins by updating the allowlist or adjusting how the upload directory is mounted. FTP uploads to https://tropical-casino.com/ RE aren’t typically supported anymore. Your best bet is to contact the RepeatExplorer or Galaxy support team directly and include the exact error message so they can fix it on their end.

Welcome @karol.krak

I agree with everything @EmilyhNqpe says here! Contacting the administrators of the server you are working on is where to start.

The link on the homepage is for an email address. This reaches the administrators who can help to resolve a technical detail with the permissions.

Please let us know how this works out or if we can help more here! This forum is a great place to get help with using Galaxy but for the lower level configuration issues, we’ll need to point you to the people that run the server.

Hi,

thanks for the reply! I did contact the admins in parallel to this thread and the problem is already solved.
Have great day and thanks for the hint, once more!
