ribogalaxy: unable to upload files

Hello,

Does any one else encountered a “Internal Server Error (500)” when trying to upload files? Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Best

Hi @roland
please add a server tag to your posts or let us know what Galaxy do you use.
It can be a transient error. Upload a small test file or in upload menu switch to Paste/Fetch Data tab, type something in the window (testing only is a good one) and click Start. Do you still see error 500?
Kind regards,
Igor

Hello Igor

Sorry for my late reply.
I use this ribogalaxy here https://ribogalaxy.genomicsdatascience.ie/. I tried your solutions but I still get the 500 error.

Best,
Roland

Hi @roland
check forum and help links for ribogalaxy on this page:

Maybe contact the server support directly.
Kind regards,
Igor

Thank you very much!

Hello @roland,

I have the same problem, trying to reproduce the test example from the hands-on tutorial from Ribogalaxy home page (hands-on-tutorial-for-RiboGalaxy-v2-1.pdf).

However I get an Internal Server Error (500) like you:

Have you found any solution to your problem ? I do not find a support contact. The Robogalaxy forum seems to be under maintenance for quite some time now (https://gwips.ucc.ie/Forum/)

Best,
Paul

At this point I’d email to ribogalaxy@gmail.com and ask them for help directly.

Hello!

I reported the bug to ribogalaxy@gmail.com and they fixed it back then. It seems that the problem reoccured. My samples are also stuck in the workflow. No idea when it will work again.

Hello,

thanks for your replies @roland and @marten !
To avoid being stuck, I did a local installation of galaxy in the end (Get Galaxy - Galaxy Community Hub), and installed the ribogalaxy packages and tools from the Tool Shed as admin.

Paul
