I am trying to use the RStudio Interactive Tool in Galaxy, but I have been unable to open it for approximately one month.
When I launch RStudio from the Interactive Tools section, the job starts normally at first, but the RStudio session never becomes accessible. It either remains stuck in the “Starting” status for a long time or fails to open.
I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:
Restarting the RStudio Interactive Tool multiple times.
Deleting previous RStudio Interactive Tool sessions and outputs.
Trying different accounts.
Trying different browsers/environments.
However, the problem still persists. Other Interactive Tools seem to work normally, but RStudio cannot be launched.
Could you please help me check whether this is a server-side issue or a problem with my account/session configuration?
I have attached screenshots showing the current status and error situation.
I am able to reproduce a problem at UseGalaxy.eu today. Hi @Gabriel, is this a known issue? The job simply aborts as a green empty result, so a bug report cannot be sent in.
I would also remind you that owning multiple accounts severely violates our ToS ( GDPR | Terms of Service ). Specific part of the ToS:
Your access to the Service is provided under the condition that you abide by any published quotas on data storage, job submissions, or any other limitations placed on the public Service. Attempts to subvert these limits by creating multiple accounts or through any other method may result in termination of all associated accounts.
I would kindly ask you to delete any other accounts you might use. Going forward, we ask that you respect the FAIR use policies of our platform.
Hello, thank you for confirming the issue. I understand. I created another account only for troubleshooting because I suspected the problem might be account-specific, not to bypass any quotas. I will remove the extra account and continue using my original account. Thank you for your help!
we removed the tool version with Bioconductor sense we believe the problem is with the container. During the weekend, the node responsible to run ITs crashed. You should be able to run Rstudio again.
