Uploading Fastq.gz is very slow

Hi, I want to upload some fastq.gz files to eu server, together 180G size. But the uploading speed is very slow, which normally is very fast from my previous experience. I can’t finish upload one file (8Gb) in 2 hours. I check my internet uploading speed, it’s around 960 mbps and I tired to upload from command lines. It didn’t work. Does anyone know what is causing this? Thanks!

how are you uploading? Are you using FTP or any other means.

I fear that the upload speed is not much under our control. It might depend on the time and day, and might get faster in a few hours.

Thanks for response. I used a few different methods. The normal upload and beta upload from the website. For command line, I used galaxy-upload --url https eu server. It seems today it’s a bit faster, but still not as fast as before.
