About upload tools to galaxy tool Shed

Limited by the resources of our own platform, we accepted the suggestions to use the usegalaxy.org.

But when we using the usegalaxy.org, some tools are unreachable. So we upload the tools needed by us to the Repositories, but it still can’t be used in usegalaxy.org.

May I ask how the tools uploaded by myself can be included in the public tools shed? Thanks!

Galaxy administrator chooses what tools to install in their Galaxies. The Main Galaxy at usegalaxy.org does not have all the tools from the Toolshed installed, rather it only has a curated set of tools most useful to the community.

Thanks for the reply. But what is the standards to judge whether the tools is useful to the community?

Generally it has to be up to (or close) tool standards of the IUC and then there has to be large enough demand for it to make it to the usegalaxy.org. However there is a hundred public Galaxies out there, and each has different administrators with different rules (Galaxy Platform Directory: Servers, Clouds, and Deployable Resources - Galaxy Community Hub). You can also run Galaxy jobs in the cloud using commercial services like AWS, and then shut them down when you are done.
