Can usegalaxy.eu provide latest Kraken2 core_nt databases?

Hi All,

I checked that Kraken2 databases in usegalaxy.eu are quite out of date.

Could you provide the latest Kraken2 database (lastly, I checked Index zone by BenLangmead there are October 2025 release). Maybe core_nt database preferable, as it contain Very large collection, inclusive of GenBank, RefSeq, TPA and PDB, which may helpful.

Good question @mmnashrullah !!

The version currently hosted is from September 2024 (the original release). I’ve put in a request to our data indexing group for an update to the October 2025 release. Let’s see what they think!

I also found that Bracken kmer_distrib also do not have core_nt too. It may be useful if Bracken kmer_distrib from core_nt also supplied.

Good ideas! We have an open ticket here tracking the potential expansion of the indexes to these other tools. :slight_smile:
