here is my running galaxy jupyter interactive tool, when i click the button 404 page is being shown instead of the tool.
Hi @johnnas12
If I am understanding correctly, during one configuration for a custom GIE the link was routing back to the default home view (tool panel + history) and with the same or different configuration the Jupyter link is routing to a 404 page, yes?
We have a tutorial here that explains the recommended configurations.
We can bring in administrator help but they will want to know about some of your details so let’s wait to cross post this over to the Admin Matrix chat.
The version of Galaxy you are running is just the minimum. Proxies are likely also important. Then, focus on anything that is different from what is outlined in the tutorial since it is a good baseline reference. When you post those details back, be sure to redact anything private!
Let’s start there, thanks!
Hello,
I followed the steps in the Galaxy Interactive Tools tutorial to set up an interactive tool on my local Galaxy instance. However, after completing all the steps, I encountered a 404 page when trying to access the tool.
The tool’s Docker image is running successfully, but I am unable to access it through Galaxy.
I haven’t followed the alternative tutorial link that was suggested elsewhere since I have already configured Galaxy on my local machine.
Any insights on what might be causing this issue? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi @johnnas12
Thanks for clarifying!
Yes, using the Galaxy Docker image is a bit easier. XRef → Private Galaxy Servers → GitHub - bgruening/docker-galaxy: 🐳📊📚 Docker Images tracking the stable Galaxy releases. (#Enabling-Interactive-Tools-in-Galaxy)
But let’s try to get this working from where you are at. If you could clarify if you are running the latest Galaxy release 24.2 or a different release, and your OS, that will probably help.
Let’s cross-post this over to the Admin chat for more help. Maybe someone recognizes what might be going on. Please feel free to join the chat too! → You're invited to talk on Matrix
Thanks!
