How to export History to file while keeping original sample names

Hello,

I want to export a History, but when i download the whole history as a .rocrate map, my output files look like this:

However, this way i cant group my results into the specific sites they belong to. Is there any way to download the files and keep the file names like they are when i view them in Galaxy? Which is just the original sample name with + file extension.

To look at some of the data i downloaded the results seperately per workflow invocation, this resulted in a zipped map with the original sample names as file names. However, doing this for all results would be too time consuming. My alternative would be to use different Histories for every different site. Since all workflows invocations were already run within a single History, I was wondering if there is a way to download the whole history and still be able to recognize the different samples.

Thank you in advance

Hi @Onnodg

Are you using a workflow? If yes, you can control the names of the datasets in the history in custom ways. You can rename your outputs in the workflow itself.

Have you seen these features? Are they not working for you or would like you like to learn more about them?

I might be misunderstanding. If you have a small example to share, I could review? If that was at a public Galaxy server it would be best. Let us know!
