Requestion Additional Storage for Academic Project

Hello,

I am working on a bioinformatics project with my adivsor and saw from a question that addititonal storage can be requested for academic project (see screenshot below). It says to check out the last section of the FAQ for more information.

I looked at the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions for Using Galaxy - Galaxy Community Hub) and didn’t see anything relating to doing that.

Could you point me in the right direction?

Much appreciated,

Jeremy

Hi @howardj777

Yes, we allocate extra space at the different public servers. :scientist:

For the UseGalaxy.org server, this is now automatic for everyone with an extra 1 TB of space in additional to the regular 250 GB.

For UseGalaxy.eu there is a form to make requests, and for UseGalaxy.org.au extra default space is associated with email addresses for the AU national researchers, and others can make requests with a request form.

Start here to learn how to access the extra quota space or for how to find the request forms → What should I do if my data exceeds the given 250GB of storage?

Update!

Be sure to read our storage guide for current allocations of permanent and extended storage at the UseGalaxy servers! :play_button: What should I do if my data exceeds the given 250GB of storage? - #2 by jennaj

In additional, many will offer Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS) options!
