Troubleshooting failed sequence alignment (Sanger)

Hi, I’ve been adapting this tutorial (Hands-on: Clean and manage Sanger sequences from raw files to aligned consensus / Clean and manage Sanger sequences from raw files to aligned consensus / Sequence analysis) to my own data and have repeatedly encountered an issue when I try to align sequences (Align sequences ver. 1.9.1.0). This is the error message I am getting. I do not know what I could do differently and would really appreciate any help.

Hello @ground_pearl_girl

I can confirm the problem. It appears to be a configuration issue, at a minimum presenting where I tested at UseGalaxy.eu.

I’m still cross testing at another server to determine where exactly this needs to be corrected (at a particular server, versus the tool repository itself). I might be able to redirect you to an alternative.

Meanwhile, if you want to share back where you ran into the error, that would also help. I’m most curious about the server URL (your web address, find this at the top of your browser window!). Xref → How to get faster help with your question

Thanks for reporting the problem and more soon!

Update

This tool will work at UseGalaxy.fr for now instead. You don’t need to start over, instead, move the history you are working in now. → FAQ: Transfer entire histories from one Galaxy server to another

To get this corrected at the EU server (if this is where you were already working?), a ticket has been opened to let the administrators know.

Thanks for reporting the problem! Let’s keep this topic open until corrected.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Here’s a link to my history to help with troubleshooting: Galaxy

I’ll try running it again in UseGalaxy.fr as you suggest below.

Thanks! Yes, that was at the EU server, so the open ticket will capture it. :hammer_and_wrench:
