Uploading to usegalaxy.org

I can’t upload anything to usegalaxy.org either by upload or transfer

Hi @Jon_Colman

Are you still having a problem? Or were you able to get this working?

You can share more about how you are loading data (URL, local file browsing, one of the other methods), and to which server (the URL at the top), and maybe share the datatype as well since that might matter.

In general, it is best to let Galaxy detect the datatype. And if the connection is interrupted, you can resume.

For batches of data there is also a command-line tool.

I think people had trouble helping, so be sure to include the server URL next time and others will be able to help to confirm any problems and get it reported to those administrators quicker.

Thanks, and if resolved, please let us know!

Everything seems to be working again, thanks!

Having problems uploading to usegalaxy.org, I have tried file transfer and direct upload. They are relatively small files 150mb. They do show up in the directory, but do not process, only stays in Waiting to Run status.

Ok, checking right now, more very soon! Thanks @Jon_Colman for letting us know.

I’m not able to reproduce this. I was able to load files via URL (tiny) and with local file browsing (tiny + large compressed at 15% and still processing).

Would you be able to try again now? Maybe capture a screenshot? Thanks!

These are the same files. Bottom set was transfer from EU, top ones I downloaded to my computer and direct upload. I think the transfer was 1.5 hours ago

Update2: We corrected the issue and the backlog is now processing.

What to do:

  1. Allow the currently queued data to process.
  2. A few might fail if they were uploaded from the desktop (broken connections, etc) and those can just be restarted.

Update: We found the problem. More soon once corrected!

Thanks for posting, I see the issue in your account and was able to reproduce it in one of my accounts. We are investigating. Thanks for the followup!

Looks like things are up and running again!!! Thank you!
