I noticed that on Usegalaxy.fr that trying to compress files will not process, and gives error “Conda dependency seemingly installed, but failed to build job environment.”
Hi @Jon_Colman
The FR server hosts their own forum for support and that reaches the administrators (looks like they didn’t see this here). You should be able to post in English and they can translate.
Let us know if you have any trouble with this and we can try to help get this communicated. Is this the Datatypes → Convert → fastq uncompressed-to-compress action? Or that same tool from the tool panel? Or something else? Was the output from a tool (which?) or was it Uploaded?
Thanks! ![]()
Yes, that same tool. Was doing some stuff on there since EU was shut down over the weekend.
Hi @Jon_Colman Ok, thanks for clarifying. Oh – I can see the problem in the compressed direction. I’ll send them a bug report.
The EU server is up again, and the FR support team is on break this week anyway.
Summer holiday schedules for academics-- sometimes actual time off, sometimes things like infrastructure updates!
Anyway, I hope this has worked out for you by now at EU.
I have noticed that the EU has been EXTREMELY slow, mostly just editing a name or changing folders. I can’t tell if processing is slow, but that seems ok. The slow I’m talking about is like if I had a VERY slow internet connection.
Hi @Jon_Colman
It looks like the FR team has corrected the problem (I got a message back from the bug report I submitted). Please try again there if you or anyone else had a problem with the uncompress function before. ![]()
