Hi there. I have been trying to use this tool to view the .tgz output from the BlobToolKit Genome Assembly QC. However, I keep receiving the message “Proxy target missing” when I try to use the viewer. I cannot figure out why this is happening, and would very much appreciate any insights!
Welcome @saoirseguita
I just tried to start this up using the tiny tool test data, and the environment resolved ok.
That test was at UseGalaxy.eu using the most current version of the tool.
- Interactive BlobToolKit genome assembly QC viewer(Galaxy Version 4.1.0+galaxy1)
Were your conditions different? The “proxy” message indicates an issue with either the tool (possibly a specific version) or the host server, and maybe the user account status (e.g. not logged in).
Let’s start there!
Thank you so much for your response!
My situation appears similar to yours. I was logged in to the UseGalaxy.org server (genome assembly QC viewer version Galaxy Version 4.1.0+galaxy0, not version1). My input was a .tgz file generated by the BlobToolKit genome assembly QC (Galaxy Version 4.0.7+galaxy2).
Do you think that this might be causing the “Proxy target missing” message? I would also like to check whether the error is indeed due to an issue with the tool version; is it possible to run different versions on Galaxy? (I am quite new to the environment - apologies if that is an easy question!).
Thanks for clarifying it was at the ORG server. I am testing there right now. More soon.
You can also try an earlier tool version, or you can move your file over to the EU server (this might be needed anyway if the environment at the ORG server needs time to be corrected).
To find FAQs – you can try searching at this forum, or at the GTN training site. These are the two you might need right now.

Thanks!
Hi @saoirseguita – I have an update.
I can reproduce this at the ORG server with version Galaxy Version 4.1.0+galaxy0 and it is the only version available (no versions navigation).
So, for now, I would suggest moving either just the input file, or your history, over to the EU server and running it. It is a good idea to have an account at the different servers anyway.
We have a longer guide here that explains how the quota works at each, along with some of the other reasons to work across servers, plus the common functions used.
Let’s leave this ticket open for now to track the correction. Thanks for reporting it!
