I’m going to purge my copy of the history. For anyone else with this same issue, the solution is to retain the full original Illumina sequence names for the collection identifiers and to put both forward and reverse reads together in a simple “list” collection. The collection builder tool will suggest a paired collection shape but you can toggle to the list shape instead.
