I teach a class with galaxy but this semester we are having lost of issues. We are having to revert to pervious versions of snippy, bowtie, featureCounts, etc. uploading SRA datavia the two tools is failing regularly.

Yes, last week saw a few problems! Reference data connections in particular. This was unrelated to the new release but the combination certainly didn’t help!
For the tool issues, would you like to share some of the problems here? SRA retrieval did fail for others but this is a connection throttle at NCBI’s side that impacts everyone using the data fetch tools (Galaxy or not), so we can’t control that, but the others we can likely help with.
In particular, I’m curious about these
Snippy parameters might be linked to a particular tool version but Bowtie and featureCounts being dependent on a version would be unexpected (at the student level). I’d like to help review if you would like to share back links to histories.
