Continuing the discussion from Installation of BEAST on Galaxy Europe:
Dear Galaxy Europe team,
I’m trying to run the BEAST2 tool on usegalaxy.eu and the job fails immediately, before the analysis starts. The same XML file (built with BEAUti) runs without any problem in BEAST2 on my own laptop, so the input file itself is fine, and this looks like a problem with the tool’s environment on the server.
The error from the job is:
Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx3502m -Xms256m -Duser.home=/data/misc06/tmp -Djava.io.tmpdir=/data/jwd06/main/000/113/170/113170450/tmp
saveBeautiProperty java.io.IOException No such file or directory

at beast.pkgmgmt.launcher.BeastLauncher.main(Unknown Source)
It looks like the launcher can’t find beastfx.app.beast.BeastMain, which is BEAST2’s standard main class from version 2.7 onward. That suggests the BeastFX component may be missing or incomplete in the tool’s installed environment.
Could someone help with debugging.
Thanks!
