Hello, I ran MiModD Read Alignment recently (today and two days ago) and it was instantly failing without detailed error info. The only thing it said was “No destinations are available to fulfill request”. I want to note that I ran the same tool with the same inputs two months ago and it was successful. Please help with this. Thanks!
Hi @xuanz01,
It might be caused by server error/setup. Either report any failed job (click at Error icon on any output from the failed job, in the middle window provides a brief description and hit Report) or share the history here, so, the server admins can check what is going on.
Kind regards,
Igor
Welcome @xuanz01
Thanks for sending in the bug report, very helpful! I see your errors and these were related to some of the server maintenance activities over the break.
That topic was about a different type of tool but others could have been impacted as well during that same time frame.
I just started up a test case and the new job sorted out to a usable cluster node! Please also try a rerun now and let us know what happens.
Thanks for reporting the issue! Learning about outstanding issues after the changes made during the break is very helpful for us – we definitely want to resolve any outstanding usage complications.

Thank you for the information. I tried it yesterday (1/13/26) and there was no immediate error and was running. However, it took such a long time and it is still running today (1/14/26). Does this sound abnormal. It was much faster before with similar input files. Should I cancel this run and restart or should I wait?
Here is the current one still running: Aligned reads from MiModd MiModD Read Alignment on dataset 11, 13, and 14
Hi @xuanz01
Hopefully your job completed by now!
The timing for jobs can vary for both the queue phase and the execution phase. It can vary by day, tool, data, server. Underneath every Galaxy server is a set of clusters. How busy they are depends on how many other people are working that day!
Once a job is started it is best to allow it to fully process. Rerunning a new job starts the entire process over again.
Whenever possible, try to use a workflow. This will start up all your tools at once. This allows them to process then start up the next tool while you are away and can significantly speed up processing times. Processing many samples at once inside of collections does something similar.

Thank you for the reply. That run time was only 4 hours actually. It just didn’t appear green. When I accidentally close my browser and reopened it, I found it complete!
Thanks for letting us know @xuanz01 ! We are glad this is working for you now.
Next time the UI seems to not update (should be rare!), you can click on the Galaxy HOME icon in the top left. This fully refreshes your browser window.
The application is updating itself but sometimes a specific web browser application, or a custom preference in that browser, can delay or even block the communications. Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari tend to work best. Cookies should be enabled. Using “incognito” is likely to have more problems than a regular window.
Galaxy is trying to make sure that you are you to protect your data and account and it needs to be able to communicate with you browser for this to work well. This is a bit different from other applications that are “tracking you”. We are academic and not tracking you for anything except for what you doing in your analysis project during your current session.
Hope this helps! ![]()
