I just started a job that immediately paused without me telling it to, and there is no way to unpause it. What should I do?

Welcome, @rheister
It looks like the history that included the inputs was deleted?
Invocation scheduling cancelled because the history of the invocation was deleted.
Next time, when starting up a workflow and sending it to a new history, leave that original history intact until the invocation has completed. That new history will include a copy of the original input datasets – so it won’t cause any data storage duplication if that was a concern.
This can be seen in two places: the message in the top, then per input datasets (marked as purged)
Please let us know if that is enough help
Update: Just to make sure this is all working, I imported the example history, and the tutorial workflow, then launched the workflow, sending it to a new history. That means I have two histories and a workflow associated with the tutorial now. Some jobs have started running, some finished, other steps are still invoking. I’ve left both histories active. Later on I can delete one or the other but not while the workflow is still running.
Sorry, I got impatient and just decided to delete everything and try again. I will let you know if the problem persists and will keep the history intact next time.
Ok, hopefully it goes better this time! I think it is all working as expected but any trouble, you can come back and ask for more help!
For reference and comparison for you and anyone else reading:
When running through this tutorial
The steps to create an “answer key” history to compare the hands-on steps to are:
This same process works for most tutorials. Some will not have a example output history already created and instead you will need to import the input datasets and get those organized, then start the workflow. If anything seems missing or is not working, we can explore that here at the forum and tune things up!
