Hello all,
I have a question about data from the MinION Sequencer.
Does anyone know how many reads have to be assigned to a taxon, before you are able to say it is 100% certain that the microorganism is in your sample?
Thank you in advance.

It is not about how many reads but more about the scores of the alignment of a specific piece of sequence. I would say if you have a 100% match with a 16S sequence of a specific bacteria you can say for 100% sure that the microorganism is present in your sample.
But you can ask this question better on a other forum I think. https://www.biostars.org/
