Memory quota discrepency

According to my history, I am using 148 GB. However, a bar at the top right of the main page says I am using 100% of my quota and functions will not run because I am apparently over my disk quota. How can I resolve this ?

Welcome, @David_Morse

You can double check what the default quota allocation is for your account under the User → Preferences → Storage Dashboard view.

You may also find that you have multiple histories, and that is contributing to the total quota usage. You can clean up files to make room for more analysis. Some servers host more storage than others, and there different types of storage. More details are here for the UseGalaxy servers. → What should I do if my data exceeds the given 250GB of storage?

If that is not enough, I’m wondering which server are you working at? Find the URL at the very top of your browser window. You can paste that back here and we can help to find the details for the server you are working at.

Thanks and please let us know if you find what you need or not.

Hi

Thanks so much for your quick reply. My storage is the following:

Galaxy sharable storage location named Permanent Storage at TACC.

270.7 GB of 250 GB used

100% of disk quota used

I have two histories. One has a size of 89.9 GB, the other 58.4 GB. I am very confused about how these add up to give 270.7 GB.

The server is the following I think:

https://usegalaxy.org/histories/list

Hi @David_Morse

Thanks for confirming! I was able to find your account and review.

You had purged data that hadn’t been cleared yet. That usually takes about a day to catch up on the public servers, and you can sometimes force things to happen quicker using the the Refresh button on your Storage Dashboard view.

This is where you are now.

Please let us know if you also see the update. You might need to reload your web browser page to clear the cache.

Many thanks! All good!

David
