Can anyone advice on how to upload a .embl file on galaxy for the purpose of running Maker? When I upload it as auto detect it uploads as txt and maker does not recognize this file. maker also doesn’t seem to accept fasts or gff3 or gtf formats. How have others loaded this file?

Hi @Sowmya_Ramachandran,
in order to use Maker, you should convert the .embl file in fasta format; it can be done with the seqret tool.

Thanks, yes it works on Maker.
On Galaxy I figured out that we need a .embl file. Our server galaxy does not have that option for some reason.
