I am learning the “MaxQuant and MSstats for the analysis of label-free data” by Melanie Föll, Matthias Fahrner. For carrying out the step “uniprot mapping and retrieval” after MSstats, the protein ID in the output file should be cut so that the ID searching can be done. With the “Find pattern” : \|.* the part following | was not removed. The output looks like so “A0A0C4DH31|HV118_HUMAN”. What can be wrong? Thanks for help!
