plink and pbed format

Hi all,

I use local my Galaxy and installed plink tool. When I upload test-data, plink.bed, plink.bim and plink.fam, plink.bed doesn’t show in plink tool pbed input. The datatype is binary and I cannot change datatype to pbed because the option pbed does not appear in datatype pull-down list. I can see pbed in datatype list in admin menu. How can I use it?

I’m not sure if the datatype (or tool) is actually useable at public Galaxy servers, including UseGalaxy.eu. The other two UseGalaxy.* servers do not even host it. Older Q&A: LPED and PBED formats (PLINK). It might work on a local Galaxy…

Hi @yukieymd

pbed is a composite datatype (i.e. a datasets consists of multiple files). You need to use the Composite tab in the upload dialog.
