Trouble with Make.Shared label

I’m following the 16s microbiome walkthrough for my genomics class, I need to put in a 0.03 label but it will not let me, does anyone know that might be?

Welcome, @autumnakj

Would you like to post back the step in the tutorial that you are at (a URL link should be next to the section name) then also share your history and post that link back. You can also include some screenshot to explain what is going on. More about how to share your work is in the banner at this forum, and also here → How to get faster help with your question

I’ll also try to guess and you can correct me.

This step: Hands-on: 16S Microbial Analysis with mothur (extended) / 16S Microbial Analysis with mothur (extended) / Microbiome (cluster-sequences-into-otus)

The tool is interpreting data from the input files. This is a screenshot of a history where the tutorial workflow was run, showing this step. Once the first two datasets are input, you should be able to click into that area to choose the label (the label came from the OUT List input’s header).

This part isn’t what you need but I’ll leave it for whoever might need it.

Then if you are having trouble adding in the tag to your dataset, maybe this guide can help? → FAQ: Adding a tag. The idea is to click on the little tag icon, type in what you want without spaces, then hit “return”.

You can do this on any dataset. Click on the dataset name in the history to expand it, then you’ll see the place to add or change a tag.

Hope this helps!
