How to convert fastq files to gz

Hi!
I downloaded my 16S files in fastq format and I’m interested in convert this files to fastq.gz files. How do I do that?
I’m leaning how to analyze 16S data.

Hi @bbarrios
try Edit Attributes (pencil icon) > in the middle window switch to Convert tab > in pull down menu select an appropriate option (fastqsanger.gz).
This is assuming you use data with Phred 33 encoding and Galaxy assigned fastasanger datatype to FASTQ files after upload.
