Hi. I uploaded my protein in pdb but galaxy is identifying the format as pqr. What can I do about this?
Hi @doughfanb,
Here are a couple possible fixes to this.
- Specifying the File Type During Upload:
By default, Galaxy auto-detects the file type when you upload a file. However, you can manually specify the file type during the upload process. On the upload page, after selecting your file, look for the option to change the file type. Set it topdb
or the correct file type for your data. Galaxy will then handle the file accordingly. - Adjusting the File Type for an Existing File in the History:
If the file is already uploaded in your history, you can still change its file type. Click on the file in your history panel, and you should see a small question mark icon next to the current file format (e.g.,pqr
,database
). Clicking this icon will open the Edit Dataset Attributes page. From there, go to the Datatype tab, and in the Assign Datatype section, select the correct file type from the dropdown menu.
Let me know if you need further clarification!
