I could't find the reference genome that I want

Hi , I am learning about Mapping ,and when using the RNA STAR,I cannot find a reference genome called Fly (Drosophila melanogaster): dm6 Full. What should I do? How to find it or how to insert it? Thank you verymuch

you can find the indexed genomes in usegalaxy.eu. Otherwise, you can download the reference genome from NCBI; you just need to copy the following link:

  • https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genomes/all/GCF/000/001/215/GCF_000001215.4_Release_6_plus_ISO1_MT/GCF_000001215.4_Release_6_plus_ISO1_MT_genomic.fna.gz

Then you need to click in Upload data in the Galaxy interface, then click in Paste/Fetch data, paste the link there and finally Start.
